POLK COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA)— One child is dead after a hit-and-run crash in Winter Haven, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said. Deputies responded to a hit-and-run crash involving two children around 8 p.m. near 2140 Crystal Beach Road. One child died from their injuries. According to deputies, detectives are trying to find the driver.
