SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — It’s going to be a soggy and windy start to the new year across the Bay Area. We will see two Level 2 storms move through the area over the coming days.

Here’s a timeline of the wet weather.
New Year’s Day
Thursday’s storm will also be a Level 1 on our Storm Impact Scale.
Friday
Showers are set to pick up with a Level 2 storm. Strong winds may add to the impacts late Friday into early Saturday. The NWS said unsecured objects could be damaged, and some tree damage is possible during that period.
High tides in San Francisco are forecast to reach up to 1.8 feet above normal Friday and Saturday mornings, enough to flood coastal roads, parks and parking lots, though only isolated closures are expected.
Weekend
Rain is set to continue with Level 1 storm this weekend through at least Monday.
