GREENBRAE, Calif. (KGO) — Fire crews in the North Bay are knocking down a large fire burning in Greenbrae right off Highway 101.
The fire broke out early Tuesday morning around 3:30 a.m. and was called in by CHP officers who saw the smoke from the highway. It happened at a kitesurfing and paddleboarding shop called Live2kite, which appears to be gutted.
The shop sits between self-storage facilities in an industrial area, but the fire has been contained and did not spread to the other buildings.
It’s unclear how the fire started. The region has been dealing with flooding from the king tides over the weekend, so things have been very wet.
