Police activity shuts down westbound lanes of I-80 in East Bay near Pinole

PINOLE, Calif. (KGO) — All westbound lanes of I-80 have been shut down in the East Bay Thursday morning due to major police activity.

The activity is happening before Pinole Valley Road. A traffic cam shows that as of 7:30 a.m., all four westbound lanes and one eastbound lane have been shut down.

The Willow Ave offramp from westbouund I-80 has also been shutdown.

Drivers are being detoured off in Hercules at Hwy 4 and then back on the freeway after the scene.
