A new Bay Area women’s pro volleyball team is coming to San Francisco: Here’s what to know

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — There is a major announcement from San Francisco’s incoming women’s pro volleyball team.

League One Volleyball, or LOVB, is expanding its ownership group, bringing in big names like NBA Coach Steve Kerr and three-time Olympic gold medalist, Kelsey Cook.

The lineup also includes Bay FC founders Brandi Chastain, Danielle Slaton and Leslie Osborne.

LOVB, which launched last year, is also expanding into Los Angeles and Minneapolis. The San Francisco team is set to debut in 2027
