Man charged with sexual battery in Broward

A man accused of sexually battering a person in Fort Lauderdale was arrested on Friday, police said.

Horace Ross, 46, was charged with sexual battery of a victim 18 years or older and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, Broward Jail records showed.

According to Fort Lauderdale Police, officers on Friday morning arrived at the 1500 block of Northwest Eighth Avenue after receiving reports of a possible sexual offense.

At the scene, officers met with a victim who told them what happened.

Soon after, Ross was found and arrested.

An investigation into the incident remains active.
