A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest in a shooting in Fort Lauderdale’s entertainment district that left five people hospitalized, police said Thursday.
The shooting happened around 2 a.m. Sunday near the 300 block of Southwest 2nd Street, in an area with multiple late-night bars known as Himmarshee.
Five people were injured and hospitalized after the shooting before they were treated and released, Fort Lauderdale Police officials said.
The suspect or suspects behind the shooting fled the scene before officers arrived.
Investigators are looking into what led to the shooting and trying to find the suspect or suspects involved.
The FBI is working with police and has created a website where people can send in tips and upload pictures and videos regarding the shooting.
Information may also be given to Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
