A Miami man who admitted to stealing over $800,000 worth of memory cards from his employer said he sold them and spent the proceeds on TikTok livestreams, police said.
Ricardo Jose Blanco-Nunez, 33, was arrested Monday on a charge of grand theft of cargo, Miami-Dade jail records showed.
According to an arrest report, the owner of the business contacted police to report an employee, Blanco-Nunez, was seen relocating a box containing memory cards worth $14,750 and concealing it in a warehouse.
The owner said that from November 2025 to now, there was an inventory shortage of memory cards totaling $2.5 million, the report said.
Detectives spoke with Blanco-Nunez, who admitted he had removed 55 memory card boxes valued at a total of $811,250 and sold them for profit, the report said.
Blanco-Nunez said he then spent the proceeds on TikTok livestreams, the report said.
He also admitted that on Monday, he tried to remove another box but was caught by his employer, the report said.
Blanco-Nunez was arrested and booked into jail. He was expected to appear before a bond court judge on Tuesday.
