Cuban rapper Chocolate MC was sentenced Monday to 10 years in prison and five years of probation after accepting a plea deal.
The artist, born Josvany Sierra Hernandez, accepted the offer that combines the sentences in three separate cases: soliciting a murder-for-hire plot to kill an inmate charged in the murder of singer El Taiger, kidnapping a fan in Opa-locka, and burglarizing a hotel room.
The plea deal also includes a mental health and substance abuse evaluations, and Sierra Hernandez has been ordered to stay away from the victims.
