Police are investigating a hit-and-run in Miami early Friday that killed a pedestrian.
The incident happened shortly before 3:30 a.m. in the area of Northwest 12th Avenue and Northwest 28th Street, Miami Police officials said.
Surveillance video showed the pedestrian being struck by an SUV near a gas station. Police said the vehicle didn’t stop.
Miami Fire Rescue responded and rushed the pedestrian to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center where he later died.
Police identified the victim as 62-year-old Antonio Sanchez.
Detectives are searching for a tan or gold SUV that has front end damage.
