Dash camera footage in Flagler County captured the moments when deputies and troopers performed a PIT maneuver on a vehicle that drove recklessly through two counties.
Korarise Hill, 24, is facing several charges, including domestic battery, false imprisonment, leaving the scene of a crash with property damage, and fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement with disregard for the safety of persons or property.
According to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, on March 15, deputies arrived at a Circle K gas station after receiving reports of a domestic disturbance.
Before they arrived, deputies said that an employee at the gas station called to report a woman, who had several cuts and a black eye, had walked into the store and asked them to call 911. Deputies said the caller told them that the woman was in fear for her life and locked herself in the bathroom.
The employee who called authorities saw that the Hill was sitting in his vehicle, which was parked at a pump.
When deputies at the gas station approached Hill’s vehicle, he fled and drove onto Palm Coast Parkway Southwest.
Deputies said Hill ran a red light and drove recklessly.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Highway Patrol, and Seminole County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a Sanford man on multiple charges after he recklessly fled through two counties following a violent domestic violence incident.
Back at the gas station, the victim spoke to deputies while she was being treated for his injuries and told them that Hill struck her several times, pointed a gun at her head and threatened to kill her, struck her with the guns and strangled her until she lost consciousness.
The victim said that Hill made her drive to Palm Coast from Sanford and kept hitting her on the drive. They made several stops in Palm Coast, and during each stop, Hill would take the car’s key so that she couldn’t leave.
When Hill told the victim to drive back to Sanford, she told him she needed to stop and get gas, and went to the Circle K, where she told the employee to call 911 and locked herself in the bathroom.
During the pursuit, Florida Highway Patrol troopers took over, and at one point, initiated a PIT maneuver on Hill’s car.
Dash camera video captured Hill’s car losing control during the PIT maneuver.
Hill’s car then ended up at a grassy area, and body camera footage showed armed authorities telling Hill to get of out the car.
He was then taken into custody, deputies said.
Records showed that Hill was on criminal release and was in state prison for two years after being convicted in Volusia County in 2018 on charges of attempted first-degree murder, attempted robbery with a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a delinquent.
In 2015, Hill had 10 arrests across Flagler and Volusia counties for charges of aggravated assault, battery, burglary, grand theft, possession of marijuana, and robbery with a firearm.
