Person hospitalized after being pulled out of lake in Hialeah Gardens, fire rescue says

A person was taken to the hospital on Wednesday after they were pulled out of a lake in Hialeah Gardens, fire rescue said.

According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, units arrived at a lake near the Florida Turnpike and W. Okeechobee Road after receiving reports that someone was in the lake.

At the scene, dive teams jumped into the lake and were able to find the person, and they were taken to a hospital for treatment.

How the person got into the lake was not explained.
