Body of elderly person found Fort Lauderdale, police say

An investigation is underway in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday after an elderly person’s body was found, police said.

According to Fort Lauderdale Police, at around 6:44 a.m., officers arrived at the 600 block of Southeast Third Avenue for a possible death investigation.

At the scene, officers found a deceased elderly person.

Their identity was not released.

Police said foul play was not suspected in the person’s death.
