Federal investigation closes roads in Pembroke Pines

A federal investigation is underway Tuesday morning in Pembroke Pines, according to police.

Officers are at 17116 Southwest 2nd Circle assisting in the federal investigation, police said. The nature of the investigation was not immediately revealed.

NBC6 traffic reporter Johanna Torres reported that the police activity closed 172nd Avenue southbound between Pines Boulevard and Pembroke Road.

Authorities said the investigation presents “no public safety concerns.”
