A woman was arrested after a heated encounter at the gas pumps of a Miami Costco ended with her attacking another woman, authorities said.
Valeria Andrea Aguilar, 29, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of burglary with assault or battery, an arrest report said.
According to an arrest report, the incident happened at the Costco at 7795 West Flagler Street where Aguilar and the victim were pumping gas.
Aguilar was screaming at other patrons and the Costco attendant before the victim drove by Aguilar’s vehicle and told the attendant to revoke Aguilar’s Costco membership, the report said.
The report said Aguilar became upset and ran after the victim’s vehicle, then followed the victim to the intersection of Northwest 7th Street and Northwest 82nd Avenue.
Aguilar confronted the victim, who had her driver’s side window open, then punched the victim in the head while she was still sitting inside, grabbed the victim’s clothing, and scratched her face, arms and chest, the report said.
The victim “armed herself with an axe/multitool and began to strike the defendant” before leaving, the report said.
Authorities said the victim suffered lacerations to her face and arms along with bruises, scratches and injuries to her nose.
Aguilar was taken into custody at HCA Florida Kendall Hospital before she was arrested and booked into jail.
In court Thursday, a judge ordered Aguilar held without bond and told her to stay away from the Costco and the alleged victim.
