A man charged in the killing of his girlfriend on Interstate 95 back in 2024 has been extradited to Miami-Dade to face a murder charge, records show.
Lorent Pion, 30, was booked into a Miami-Dade jail on Friday to face a second-degree murder charge, records showed.

He appeared before a judge over the weekend who ordered him held without bond.
Pion was transferred from Broward County after he’d been recently sentenced in an unrelated case.
The murder charge stems from the death of 22-year-old Nahomi Valentina Cittadini, whose body was found on the side of I-95 near Ives Dairy Road back on Dec. 7, 2024.

Pion is accused of beating Cittadini on the side of the highway and then dragging her into a travel lane where she was struck and killed by a vehicle, authorities said.
Authorities tracked Pion down and he led them in a pursuit that ended when he crashed into multiple vehicles near Red Road and Miramar Parkway, records showed.
He tried to flee on foot but was taken into custody, authorities said.
Cittadini’s family said Pion was the victim’s boyfriend and that he was abusive, saying one violent attack was caught on camera.
The video, from August 2024, showed Cittadini being violently beaten and thrown to the ground by Pion in Miami Beach, police and family members said.
Police responded after receiving several calls but Cittadini told officers nothing happened, police body camera video showed.
“That shouldn’t be done to even an animal,” Cittadini’s mother, Maria Benitez, told NBC6 in Spanish last year. “I don’t know what was going through his head… He, based on the images of what he was doing, seems to have a phobia of women because I don’t understand it.”
Pion sent a letter to a judge last year asking for his charges to be dropped.
“I am innocent, I didn’t kill my girl,” he wrote. “It was a car accident and the car that hit her ran away and nobody is looking for!!!”
