Want to switch schools in Broward County next year? It’s not too late to register

It’s not too late to register for the Broward County Public Schools’ initiative that lets interested parents and students apply to switch schools for the upcoming academic year.

The program is called School Choice, and it provides families interested in new educational experiences the opportunity to apply to schools other than their home-boundary assigned school.

Late applications are being accepted starting Wednesday, April 1. (The open enrollment window was from November 3, 2025 to January 28, 2026.)

You may apply for a general re-assignment, magnet programs or Nova schools with available seats.

Applications must be submitted through the BCPS focus parent portal.
