Three people, including an off-duty officer, were taken to the hospital on Sunday after their vehicle lost control on Florida’s Turnpike in Southwest Miami-Dade, troopers said.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident happened on the southbound lanes of the Turnpike near Northwest 12th Street.
Troopers said that a Honda Sedan lost control and struck a concrete barrier wall.
The three people inside the Sedan included a man, a woman and a child, who were taken to the Kendall HCA with minor injuries.
Troopers said the woman is a police officer, but the department that she works for was not known.
Two express lanes on the Turnpike remain closed.
