Rainy weather returns to South Florida: Here’s what to expect

A slowing frontal boundary will lead to several days of unsettled weather across South Florida starting Tuesday.

Over the next three days, expect periods of passing showers and a few storms, with rainfall possibly heavy at times.

What should South Florida expect?

Expect periods of heavy rain, strong gusty winds, high rip currents and the growing threat of flash floods. 

How much rain should we expect?

Two to four inches of rain remains possible by the end of the week, with a chance that some communities could exceed that range.

The rain will likely bring us relief from the extreme drought still hindering the region. 

By Friday, we’ll have a few more lingering storms around before drier air returns for the weekend.
