A Miami woman was arrested for allegedly assaulting a drive-thru worker at a Palmetto Bay McDonald’s during a dispute over her order, authorities said.
Andrea K. Houston, 53, was arrested Monday on charges of burglary with assault or battery and resisting an officer without violence, an arrest report said.
The alleged incident happened back on Dec. 27, 2025, as the victim was working the drive-thru at the McDonald’s at 18295 South Dixie Highway.
According to the report, Houston became upset after she believed items were missing from her order but the victim explained that her order was complete and if she wanted more items she’d have to pay for them.
The victim said Houston grabbed a piece of wood from her car and started yelling at him, threatening to hit him, then tapped him in the face with the piece of wood before leaving, the report said.
A witness recorded the incident and the victim was able to get Houston’s license plate number and later identified Houston in a photo line-up, the report said.
On Monday, Houston was taken into custody during a traffic stop, but while she was being taken into custody she tensed her arms and forcibly moved her body making it hard to take her into custody, the report said.
She was eventually arrested and booked into jail.
Houston has a previous felony battery conviction and a conviction for battery on a law enforcement officer or firefighter, the report said.
