Woman found shot to death inside Fort Lauderdale home, police say

Police are investigating after a woman was found shot to death inside a home in Fort Lauderdale early Thursday, officials said.

Officers had responded to the shooting at the home in the 900 block of Northwest 11th Place around 5:30 a.m., Fort Lauderdale Police officials said.

When they arrived, the officers found the woman with a gunshot wound to her head.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity hasn’t been released.

Homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
