3 hospitalized, including 2 armed men, after shots fired in Miami Gardens, police say

Two armed men accused of a shooting in Miami Gardens were taken to the hospital on Sunday, as well as a third person who was struck, police said.

According to Miami Gardens Police, officers received a ShotSpotter alert of a shooting near Northwest 27th Avenue and 183rd Street.

Police said that two armed men were involved in the shooting, and they had serious injuries.

The two men were detained and taken to the hospital.

Another person, who was in their vehicle when they were struck by the gunfire, was also taken to the hospital.

No arrests have been made.

As police continue to investigate the shooting, northbound traffic in the area has been diverted.
