3 crashes snarl traffic on I-95 southbound in Miami-Dade

Several crashes are blocking lanes and snarling traffic on Interstate 95 southbound in Miami-Dade on Monday morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol said it was responding to three vehicle crashes with injuries at the following locations:

• South of Northwest 62nd Street
• At State Road 112
• South of State Road 836

It was not immediately clear who was hurt, or what may have caused the collisions.

Aerial video of the backup showed a motorcycle lying on its side in one of the crashes.

Drivers are advised to take Florida’s Turnpike or U.S. 441 as alternate routes.
