Man fatally struck by semi-truck in Van Nuys parking lot

A man was dead Thursday after being struck by a semi-truck driving through a Van Nuys parking lot, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

Police responded to the deadly collision just before 2 p.m. near Van Nuys Boulevard, just south of Van Nuys Boulevard.

The semi-truck driver backed up and rolled over the man who was sleeping on the ground, the LAPD said.

The deceased was described as a 55-year-old man, according to the LA Fire Department.
