Los Angeles police served a warrant Tuesday morning in at a residence in a Lincoln Heights neighborhood.
Details about the LAPD operation northeast of downtown Los Angeles were not immediately available. Video from NewsChopper4 appeared to show firearms and other items on the ground outside a residence in the 3400 block of Manitou Avenue.
Law enforcement sources told NBC4 Investigates that the California Department of Justice had concerns about the location and referred the case to the LAPD, which obtained a probable cause warrants. No arrests were reported.
A probable cause warrant is a judicial approval for a search that requires the presentation of evidence that shows likelihood of criminal activity.
