Driver strikes back of SUV at end of chase in Montecito Heights

A pursuit on streets and freeways in downtown Los Angeles ended with a rear-end collision Wednesday in Montecito Heights.

The driver, possibly in a stolen car, smacked into the rear of a SUV stopped in slow traffic. Several police SUVs pulled up behind and alongside the car.

At least three people, the driver an two people in the back seat, were taken into custody.

Details about the car theft that led to the chase were not immediately available.
