An employee at Boys & Girls Club Santa Clarita has been charged with felony sex crimes after being accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a teenager she met at the youth club.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office told NBC4 Investigates exclusively on Monday that Elizabeth Elizarraraz faced six counts of lewd act upon a child under age 14.
The DA’s office alleged that Elizarraraz, 32, committed a “lewd and lascivious act” against a child named “Nathalee P.” sometime between Oct. 1, 2024 and Oct. 31, 2024.
Elizarraraz remained in custody as of Monday afternoon on $300,000 bail.
Authorities were first alerted about Elizarraraz when parents called to report the alleged relationship between their child and an adult.
The LA County Sheriff’s Department told NBC Los Angeles last week that Nathalee P. is Elizarraraz’s only contact with a minor.
Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita confirmed it was aware of its employee’s arrest, saying Eiizarraraz was suspended and banned from all facilities pending further investigation.
“Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Clarita Valley is committed to the highest standards of ethical behavior and Integrity and does not tolerate inappropriate or illegal activity on the part of any staff member, volunteer, or youth member,” said Matthew Nelson , CEO of Boys and Girls Club of Santa Clarita, adding all employees and volunteers undergo a criminal background check.
