Authorities are looking for additional victims who were sexually assaulted by an employee at Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said as it released the picture of the suspect.
NBC Los Angeles reported exclusively last week that 32-year-old Elizabeth Eiizarraraz was arrested after being accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a teenager.
Then earlier this week, Elizarraraz was charged with six counts of lewd acts upon a child.
The LA County District Attorney’s office also told NBC4 Investigates exclusively earlier this week that Elizarraraz committed a “lewd and lascivious act” against a child named “Nathalee P.” sometime between Oct. 1, 2024 and Oct. 31, 2024.
Authorities were first alerted about Elizarraraz when parents called to report the alleged relationship between their child and an adult.
The LA County Sheriff’s Department had told NBC Los Angeles last week that Nathalee P. is Elizarraraz’s only contact with a minor, but further investigation may have revealed there could be more victims.
”Based on the nature of the offenses, coupled with the facts that Ms. Elizarraraz has had contact with numerous juveniles in the course of her employment, detectives believe there may be additional unidentified victims,” the sheriff’s department said in a statement Wednesday.
Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita confirmed it was aware of its employee’s arrest, saying Eiizarraraz was suspended and banned from all facilities pending further investigation.
“Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Clarita Valley is committed to the highest standards of ethical behavior and Integrity and does not tolerate inappropriate or illegal activity on the part of any staff member, volunteer, or youth member,” said Matthew Nelson , CEO of Boys and Girls Club of Santa Clarita, adding all employees and volunteers undergo a criminal background check.
