Multi-vehicle Covina crash involved man chasing wife, police say

A man chasing his wife in a domestic dispute was involved in a multi-vehicle wreck Wednesday morning in Covina, according to police.

Several people were transported to a hospital after the high-speed five-vehicle crash at about 6 a.m. near the intersection of Hollenbeck Avenue and Cypress Street. Video showed at least two heavily damaged vehicles, one on its side.

It was not immediately clear whether the man’s wife was among those injured. Details about the victims’ conditions were not immediately available.

The man chasing his wife left the scene and was seen on security camera video near the location. He was eventually taken into custody.
