A person armed with a gun was shot by police early Thursday in downtown Los Angeles, according to the LAPD.
The shooting was reported at about 4 a.m. in the area of Seventh Street and Ceres Avenue, where officers responded to a report of a person with a gun. More details about what led up to the shooting were not immediately available.
The age, gender and condition of the person who was shot were not available early Thursday morning. There were no reports of injuries to officers.
The man was hospitalized.
