Two small dogs were rescued from a burning home by the brave firefighters who nursed them back to health with oxygen masks.
As firefighters battled a house fire that tore through a home in La Verne on Thursday, they rescued a 14-year-old dog named Ellie and another dog named Nikki. Crews located the dogs quickly, finding Nikki hiding under a chair where crews were ventilating the roof.
Upon their rescue, firefighters deployed oxygen to the exhausted dogs via a mask to help them with their breathing inside an ambulance. After making sure the two pooches were safe, crews returned to the house to get the dogs’ leashes to make sure they could be secured.
Shortly after, the dogs were reunited with their grateful family.
Video posted by the La Verne Fire Department showed the aww-inducing rescues. It’s unclear what caused the fire.
