Burglars take off with $100,000 worth of jewelry, clothing from Toluca Lake home

Police are searching for two people who stole $100,000 worth of items after breaking into a home in Toluca Lake late Saturday.

The break-in was reported at about 10:30 p.m. on Saturday at a home on Whipple Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. There, the thieves smashed through a back window and were able to make their way inside.

The thieves took off with jewelry and clothing that totaled roughly $100,000. No one was home at the time of the burglary.

A description of the thieves who broke in was not provided. The investigation is ongoing.
