A Los Angeles model and social media influencer accused of burglarizing homes of people she met online through dating apps has been charged with six felony counts.
Adva Lavie, also known as Mia Ventura, was charged Monday with two counts of unauthorized use of personal identifying information; two counts of grand theft; one count of first-degree residential burglary with person present and one count of first-degree residential burglary. The 28-year-old woman has pleaded not guilty to all charges. Los Angeles County prosecutors said.
Arraignment was scheduled for April 6. Lavie, who was released from custody with an electronic ankle monitor, has been ordered to stay away from the victims.
From 2023 to 2025, Lavie is accused of developing relationship through dating apps to steal from wealthy older men and younger women in Westlake Village, West Hollywood, Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, according to prosecutors. Lavie posed as a girlfriend and travel companion to get access to the victims’ homes and steal cash, gold and designer items, authorities said.
She faces up to 11 years and eight months in state prison, if convicted as charged.
It was not immediately clear whether she has an attorney who could speak on her behalf.
In October, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department requested the public’s help in locating victims. A Las Vegas podcast host said that he and several women were among the3 victims.
