Metro could be making its way to West Hollywood and many other new neighborhoods, as an important vote is happening Thursday to extend the K-line.
Part of the proposal is a possible new Metro station at the Hollywood Bowl, the vote that’s happening Thursday morning at 10:00 revolves around this map.
The Metro board will consider the staff recommendation for a “locally preferred alternative” for the K-line northern expansion.
Service would extend north, connecting the South Bay, LAX, South LA, Inglewood and the Crenshaw corridor to West Adams, Mid City, Central LA, WeHo and Hollywood.
If it passes, according to LA Metro, the funding would become available in fiscal year 2041 and construction would be complete sometime between 2047 and 2049.
Major leaders in the region like the mayors from Inglewood and West Hollywood and LA County supervisor Lindsey Horvath will be rallying outside metro headquarters in downtown Thursday morning, asking Metro to move forward with this.
