A homicide investigation began in San Bernardino Saturday after a shopper inside a grocery store was stabbed and killed.
Officers responded to an emergency call at around 5:20 p.m. at the Food4Less store on W. 2nd Street near N E Street about a stabbing attack.
A preliminary investigation found that the victim and the suspect got into a physical altercation in the produce section, according to San Bernardino police.
The victim, who was stabbed multiple times, left the store, got into his car and drove about two blocks to a nearby business, police said. Upon arriving at the business, he collapsed and was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The suspect, whose descriptions were not immediately available, remained at large.
The nature of relationship between the victim and suspect was not immediately clear.
