Over a dozen small dogs were found abandoned at a park in Palmdale on Wednesday, the Palmdale Animal Care Center said in a social media post.
According to the animal center, almost every dog had matted fur that was filled with dirt and feces.
Officers and volunteers quickly worked on capturing the animals and get them proper care and vaccinations.
“This situation doesn’t happen often. It’s what our team is trained to handle, but we need your help,” the animal center said in the post.
Anyone with information regarding where the dogs came from or who may have left them at the park is asked to email the animal care center at palmdale@animalcare.lacounty.gov.
