The man accused of killing a young couple and their unborn baby in a crash at the end of a police pursuit is now facing three charges of murder, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Marshall Judson, 31, is scheduled to appear in court on Monday in connection with the crash that killed Jennifer Loera-Zarco, 25, her 26-year-old boyfriend, Marc Trejo Saldivar, and their unborn son, who was due on April 20.
The crash was reported Wednesday night after Judson led Pomona officers on a chase after they responded to a report of domestic violence on East 10th and South Elm Streets. According to police, Judson intentionally drove into a parked patrol vehicle then took off, instigating a brief pursuit.
The 2-mile chase ended when Judson crashed into another driver near the intersection of County Road and Garvey Avenue. Saldivar was driving the car that was struck and Loera-Zarco was in the passenger seat. Both died at the scene and their unborn son did not survive the crash.
The young couple’s loved ones held a memorial on Friday to mourn their sudden loss.
In addition to the murder charges, Judson is facing other charges that include driving under the influence, assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, driving without a valid license, felony evasion and vehicular manslaughter. It’s unclear if he has an attorney who can speak on his behalf.
Two people were killed in a crash with a chase driver suspected of DUI. Michelle Valles reports for the NBC4 News at 11 a.m. on Thursday April 2, 2026.
