A 3.3-magnitude earthquake shook Riverside County late Saturday afternoon, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The quake hit near Banning in a sparsely populated area just before 4:40 p.m., the USGS said.
Shaking was reported primarily in the Banning and Beaumont areas, but it was also felt near Lake Elsinore, the Menifee area and parts of the Coachella Valley, according to the USGS’ Did You Feel It tool.
