UCLA’s women’s basketball team returns home as national champions

Bruin fans were eagerly waiting to welcome the UCLA’s women’s basketball team back home in Westwood Sunday night, just hours after the team won the NCAA tournament and made program history.

The new national champions claimed their first-ever NCAA national title Sunday afternoon after defeating the South Carolina Gamecocks 79-51 in Phoenix, Arizona.
