Three people were arrested Wednesday after authorities recovered about $1 million worth of Lego products and two stolen freight trailers that were supposed to be headed to Riverside County, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the 400 block of Silver Queen Road in the Mojave area of Kern County and conducted traffic stops on two box trucks that were seen fleeing the area.
Inside, they found the Lego products. Deputies later found two freight trailers nearby that investigators say were stolen while in transit from Fort Worth, Texas, to Moreno Valley in Riverside County.
Jose Lopez, 37, of San Bernardino, 25-year-old Ruben Lopez Flores of Los Angeles, and 35-year-old Freddy Hernandez Polinar of Chino were arrested, accused of possessing a stolen vehicle, cargo theft and conspiracy.
