Police in northern suburbs investigate shooting

Police in north suburban Grayslake were conducting an investigation after a shooting was reported on Friday evening, authorities said.

According to the Grayslake Police Department, at approximately 6:19 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to a report of a shooting along Lincoln Avenue and Signal Lane. Police didn’t reveal how many people had been shot, the extent of their injuries or if officers were actively searching for a suspect.

Authorities said the incident was isolated, and there was no further danger to the public.
