A 31-year-old man is in critical condition after he was shot following a store robbery in the Loop on Friday night.
According to Chicago police, a suspect began taking items off a shelf in a convenience store in the 100 block of West Adams at approximately 10:41 p.m. Friday.
When the suspect exited the store, he was confronted by a 31-year-old man. Police say the suspect pulled out a weapon and shot the man multiple times before fleeing the scene.
The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
According to police, no suspects are in custody, and Area Four detectives are investigating the shooting.
