A multi-vehicle crash closed an intersection in front of a northwest suburban high school on Friday afternoon, prompting police to urge drivers to avoid the area.
Around 1:40 p.m., Arlington Heights Police Department said the intersection of Arlington Heights Road and Dundee Road in Buffalo Grove was closed due to a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection.
“Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route until further notice,” AHPD said in the post.
By 2:20 p.m., AHPD posted an update on social media that the road was re-opened.
Buffalo Grove High School is located directly northeast of the intersection where the crash occurred, though it was not immediately known if any students or staff were involved in the crash.
No additional information was immediately available.
