Chicago’s popular St. Patrick’s Day themed race is back for the 45th year this weekend, promising to bring thousands to the Loop.
More than 20,000 people are expected to participate in the 2026 Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 2-mile walk and 8k run on Sunday.
Wheelchair racers will kick off the event at 8:20 a.m., followed by the first wave of runners at 8:30 a.m.
NBC Chicago will offer a live feed of the race starting at 8:20 a.m. Coverage will include in-race coverage, then will transition to finish line coverage at 8:45 a.m.
The station’s livestream, available on its website and the NBC Chicago app, will show runners crossing the finish line until 11 a.m.
Telemundo Chicago’s website and app will also offer streaming options.
If you’re planning to see the race in person, be mindful of the street closures for the event.
Spectators can watch the race from the sidelines of the course, or they can pick an official cheer zone to join. Many of the cheer zones are associated with various running groups around the city.
The Shuffle’s official cheer zones include locations for the following groups:
- Girls on the Run Chicago
- Mercy Home Heroes
- The Garage Chicago
- EDGE Athletics
- Family Style RC
