Trains in both directions have been halted on Metra’s UP-West line after a train struck a vehicle near suburban Berkeley.
According to officials with the agency, trains are stopped in both directions near the Berkeley stop after a train struck a vehicle on Monday afternoon.
The duration of the delay is unknown at this time, and Metra will provide more details.
The Union Pacific-West line travels out of Ogilvie Transportation Center in Chicago and services numerous suburbs, including Melrose Park, Elmhurst, Villa Park, Wheaton and Elburn, where the train route terminates.
