The Illinois State Fair has announced another major headliner for the 2026 grandstand stage.
Joining the stacked list of notable artists performing at the popular summer event will be superstar trio The Chicks.
The Chicks are slated to perform on Aug. 22, joining fellow country artists Lainey Wilson, Ella Langley and Bailey Zimmerman.
“We’re proud to continue bringing top tier entertainment to the Illinois State Fair, and The Chicks are a fantastic addition to this year’s lineup,” Illinois Department of Agriculture Director Jerry Costello II said in a statement. “Their music has stood the test of time and continues to resonate with fans of all ages. We’re excited to welcome them to Springfield this August.”
The lineup so far also includes performances by Matchbox Twenty and Shinedown.
The Chicks, named the biggest-selling U.S. female band of all time, have won numerous Grammy, Billboard Music, Country Music and American Music awards throughout their career, which includes hits like “Wide Open Space,” “Landslide,” “Not Ready to Make Nice” and more.
Their most recent album, “Gaslighter,” was released in 2020 after a nearly 14-year hiatus from the group.
“The Chicks are known for putting on an unforgettable show,” Illinois State Fair Manager Rebecca Clark said in a statement. “With a catalog of songs that so many people know and love, this will be a special night at the Grandstand that fairgoers won’t want to miss.”
Tickets for the performance go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday via Ticketmaster.
The 2026 Illinois State Fair runs from Aug. 13 through Aug. 23 in Springfield.
Last year’s event saw performances by The Black Crowes, Megan Moroney, Sheryl Crow, Snoop Dogg, Brad Paisley, The Chainsmokers, Def Leppard and more.
