An 82-year-old man was beaten at a South Loop CTA station in broad daylight Monday, sparking a search for his assailant.
According to Chicago police, the attack occurred on the stairs of the Roosevelt station in the first block of East Roosevelt Road just before noon Monday.
There was no immediate word on the condition of the victim in the case, but an aggressive push has been launched to find the attacker.
According to Chicago police, the suspect is described as a Black male, wearing a black Aeropostale sweater, black pants, and wearing black and white shoes.
Residents are encouraged to call 911 immediately if they recognize the individual, or call Public Transportation detectives at 312-745-4447.
