1 dead, 2 injured in overnight shooting at Will County party

A person has died and two others were hurt after a shooting during a large fight at a family party in Will County.

According to authorities, police were called to the 27000 block of South State Line Road at approximately 1 a.m. Sunday for reports of a large fight.

When police arrived, they discovered three victims who had suffered gunshot wounds at the scene.

All three were taken to area hospitals, with one pronounced dead and two others suffering unspecified injuries, police said.

Police believe the shooting was a domestic incident, and said there is no ongoing threat to the public at this time.

There are no suspects in custody, and police are continuing to investigate.
