Multiple lines of severe thunderstorms have left thousands of ComEd customers without power Thursday night.
According to the latest numbers from the utility,more than 9,000 customers are without power as of 9 p.m., with most of those outages in Cook and Ogle counties.
Several lines of severe storms packed wind gusts in excess of 60 miles per hour as they tore through the Chicago area Thursday, along with small hail and frequent lightning.
There was a tornado warning issued in McHenry and Lake counties, but no reported touchdown occurred.

Cook County – 3,371
Ogle County – 2,474
McHenry County – 1,214
Kendall County – 669
DuPage County – 633
