Expected cool conditions have prompted the Chicago White Sox to move up the start of Tuesday’s scheduled game against the Baltimore Orioles.
The game will now begin at 2 p.m., the team announced on social media. Parking lots will open at 12:10 p.m., with gates at Rate Field opening at 12:40 p.m. First pitch was originally scheduled for 6:40 p.m.
Tickets for the originally scheduled time will be valid for the earlier game, including prepaid parking passes, Stadium Club passes and Ballpark Pass tickets, according to the team.
Cool weather is expected, with highs reaching the mid 40s before temperatures dip to the low-to-mid 30s.
The weather hasn’t been so kind to the White Sox lately.
The threat of showers and thunderstorms forced the team to postpone their home opener against the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday. The game took place Friday instead, with the White Sox defeating the Blue Jays 5-4.
